The Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library’s Owensburg branch faces several challenges. To discuss the situation further, the Library Director and Board of Trustees will be available for a public forum to discuss the future of the Library and the Owensburg branch.

Weather permitting, there will be books outside on the patio priced at garage sale prices and books inside in the community room at regular prices.

The main branch of the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library has access to Ancestry Library Edition on any available public computer. You can also access Ancestry Library Edition from your own laptop or device when using the wireless internet at the main branch.

Adult Winter Reading is in full swing! Adults can read five titles of their choice and turn in a slip for a prize. On the last day of winter, Saturday March 20th, we will draw slips for twelve grand prizes. Call or come visit us at the Circulation desk for more information.

The library will be closed on December 24th and 25th for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We will also be closed on December 31st and January 1st for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

As you may have noticed, the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library is going through a few changes.

First, we are now part of Evergreen Indiana, which is a major changeover for us. We are now on a new software system, and are part of a new library consortium. So be sure to come in to the library to get your new Evergreen Indiana library card!
